The demand for competent and experience-based advice in the field of quality infrastructure has increased continuously in recent years. PTB International Cooperation has developed numerous formats that address very different target groups. We are pleased to make this offer accessible. Our aim is to impart knowledge about quality infrastructure and to improve the corresponding services in such a way that they are competitive, support the economy and promote trade. "Strengthening quality infrastructure for solar energy in Maghreb" EXTERNAL EVALUATION - SHORT REPORT

The goal of the project is to establish the quality infrastructure (QI) in the field of solar thermal energy and to assure the availability of the respective specialists. To this end, four activities are being implemented: 1. guiding solar thermal testing laboratories toward accreditation, development and marketing of their services, 2. supporting calibration laboratories to help them achieve international recognition, 3. integrating QI into relevant university courses and 4. supporting the selection of a certification system for solar thermal systems.

The objective of the project is to facilitate the integration of southeast European countries into the EU market and other markets through QI services. This is done through the demand-driven implementation of regional sub-measures under the Advisory Fund (outputs 1 and 2) and through bilateral metrology and accreditation support in Albania and Bosnia (outputs 3 and 4).
