The demand for competent and experience-based advice in the field of quality infrastructure has increased continuously in recent years. PTB International Cooperation has developed numerous formats that address very different target groups. We are pleased to make this offer accessible. Our aim is to impart knowledge about quality infrastructure and to improve the corresponding services in such a way that they are competitive, support the economy and promote trade. The website presents the concept of quality infrastructure. It explains the role of the World Bank and the "QI-Toolkit" which was jointly developed by PTB and the World Bank.
The website presents publications related to the regarding the concept of “Export Quality Management", created by the International Trade Centre (ITC) and PTB. It aims to raise awareness and transfer knowledge on quality-related technical requirements for export to business support organisations. The website includes publications related to the concept "Export Quality Management" providing small and medium-sized exporters with a comprehensive understanding of quality-related issues linked to the quality infrastructure. The concept was developed by International Trade Centre (ITC) and PTB. Amongst others, it includes questions and answers related to quality control, technical requirements (standards, technical regulations, sanitary and phytosanitary measures), management systems, conformity assessment (testing, inspection, certification), metrology, accreditation, the WTO Agreements on Technical Barriers to Trade and the Application of Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures.
The website shows the results of the PTB´s International Cooperation Group task force´s work and gives partner institutions, but also the interested public, access to the related information. Amongst others, the following topics are covered: testing of respiratory equipment, calibration of infrared thermometers, virtual hands-on laboratory training, approval of medical protective material, digital work and guidance on quality for medical laboratories.
