The demand for competent and experience-based advice in the field of quality infrastructure has increased continuously in recent years. PTB International Cooperation has developed numerous formats that address very different target groups. We are pleased to make this offer accessible. Our aim is to impart knowledge about quality infrastructure and to improve the corresponding services in such a way that they are competitive, support the economy and promote trade. The project is part of the special initiative "ONE WORLD - No Hunger" of the BMZ and works closely with GIZ's global programme "Green Innovation Centres for the Agricultural and Food Sectors" to improve food security and the income of small farmers in Ethiopia and Ghana. It aims to strengthen various aspects of the quality infrastructure and increase the productivity and quality of the value chain.
The goal of the project is the strengthening of quality infrastructure institutions for the assessment of the energy efficiency of household appliances in MERCOSUR countries. The activities of the project include concept development for energy efficiency labels, capacity building of laboratories, networking and awareness-raising measures.
The project aims to address the lack of quality infrastructure services to increase energy efficiency and secure the energy supply for homes and businesses. It expands metrology capacities, adapts international standards in the energy sector and sets legal requirements for selected measuring instruments in order to contribute to sustainable energy development and security.
The objective of the project is to advise the ASEAN secretariat to support the inclusion of international good practices when implementing the ASEAN Economic Blueprint in the field of standards, technical regulations, accreditation, conformity assessment and legal metrology. As a result, the project contributes to the reduction of non-tariff barriers to trade and an increase in intraregional trade and international competitiveness.
The project supports two specialized regional bodies (SRBs) - the Asia Pacific Laboratory Cooperation (APLAC) and the Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (PAC) - in their ability to support the establishment, linking and international recognition of accreditation systems in developing and emerging countries within the Asia-Pacific region.
