The objective at the outcome level was to encourage private and public actors to make greater use of quality infrastructure services in the areas of environmental monitoring and the sustainable use of natural resources. At the impact level, the goal was to contribute to forest conservation, biodiversity, and climate protection. This was achieved through new services for monitoring environmental quality standards and emission limits, and by strengthening the capacities of INACAL and the Ministry of the Environment.

The aim was to increase the use of quality infrastructure (QI) services in water and air analysis. To achieve this objective, four outputs were implemented: 1. Strengthening the capacities of the SNSU-BSN for metrological traceability in water and air analysis; 2. Strengthening the capacities of testing and calibration laboratories to provide services in this field; 3. Supporting industries in complying with environmental and climate-related requirements; 4. Informing industries and decision-makers about the relevance of QI services for environmental and climate monitoring.
