The guide vol.1 addresses conceptual aspects of public lighting, starting from the idealization of projects, through feasibility issues, energy efficiency, supply of products and services, to the final delivery to the community. The objective of this guide is to promote good practices in public lighting, with regard to the modernization of LED technology.

The guide vol. 2 (divided into two volumes) deals with public lighting modernization projects, including the steps and requirements necessary for the elaboration of a consistent project; from conception to delivery of the work, always taking an energy efficiency perspective. Additionally, basic concepts for economic and financial analysis and the feasibility of the project are covered as well as tips on how to verify that the project was executed adequately.

The publication presents the project targeting the water sector in line with the objectives of the Jordanian government and the German cooperation efforts in the sector. The project will provide the institutions of the Jordanian water sector, the Ministry of Water and Irrigation (MWI), the Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ), and water utilities with new Quality Infrastructure services. The aim is to develop new services of the QI institutions as well as improve cooperation between the selected water utilities and QI institutions.

The document provides an overview of the project that seeks to further develop the Quality Infrastructure for solar thermal energy in the Maghreb countries, aiming to improve their cooperation with training institutes. In order to promote programmes to that end, quality assurance services for solar thermal energy systems will be provided to institutes and to the companies of this sector.

The document presents the project that seeks to improve the conditions for the increased utilization of Quality Infrastructure services, primarily focusing on metrology. In addition, the project aims at enhancing the technical competencies of the national metrology institutes of the countries involved, promoting the dialogue between them and their clients as well as increasing quality consciousness in the private sector. Overall, the project will contribute to the promotion of trade and consumer protection in the Middle East.
