The demand for competent and experience-based advice in the field of quality infrastructure has increased continuously in recent years. PTB International Cooperation has developed numerous formats that address very different target groups. We are pleased to make this offer accessible. Our aim is to impart knowledge about quality infrastructure and to improve the corresponding services in such a way that they are competitive, support the economy and promote trade. Environmental and health aspects are included in the holistic approach. Enjoy browsing.

Promoting the Circular Economy via Quality Infrastructure II

This project seeks to increase cooperation between Latin American and Caribbean quality infrastructure organizations, and especially to increase their awareness of and technical capacities for the circular economy. Competencies of the Inter-American Metrology System (SIM), the Inter-American Accreditation Cooperation (IAAC), the Pan American Standards Commission (COPANT), and their respective national members will be strengthened. It will furthermore support quality infrastructure services in Latin America and the Caribbean to foster the development towards a circular economy within the region. To this end, collaboration and networking of stakeholders in both quality infrastructure and the circular economy will be promoted.

The National Institute of Standards (NIS) should be enabled to offer additional metrological services for food processing in line with demand. The development of chemical metrology and networking with QI institutions and customers from the food processing industry were relevant for new services and strengthening the competitiveness and exportability of the Egyptian food sector, especially small and medium-sized enterprises.
