The demand for competent and experience-based advice in the field of quality infrastructure has increased continuously in recent years. PTB International Cooperation has developed numerous formats that address very different target groups. We are pleased to make this offer accessible. Our aim is to impart knowledge about quality infrastructure and to improve the corresponding services in such a way that they are competitive, support the economy and promote trade. The project aims to improve quality infrastructure services in the water sector in Nicaragua and to address water losses and drinking water quality. Institutional development is taking place in cooperation with the Ministry of Development, Industry and Trade (MIFIC).
The goal of the module is that companies, service providers and sector authorities use the services of the national quality infrastructure. More specifically, use of these services should ensure compliance with wastewater regulations through reliable analyses and measurements. Likewise, these services will ensure food safety and the product quality of agricultural exports.
The project aims to reduce technical barriers to trade in the SAARC region and build a regional quality infrastructure (QI). This will be achieved through network structures between QI institutions that assure a division of labour to promote cooperation, information exchange, advisory services and thereby facilitate trade.
The Southern African Development Community (SADC) is pursuing the development of a customs union and a common market. The project supports all six regional structures: accreditation, measurement traceability, legal metrology, standardization, technical regulations and the stakeholder committee. Support is given through activities like training, concept development, regional and international exchange and awareness raising.
The project aims to establish a recognized quality infrastructure system in Serbia and prepare the country for EU integration. It supports the accreditation of potential notified bodies for EU directives and the establishment of a market surveillance system for measuring instruments through cooperation with the national accreditation body and the national metrology institute.
