The demand for competent and experience-based advice in the field of quality infrastructure has increased continuously in recent years. PTB International Cooperation has developed numerous formats that address very different target groups. We are pleased to make this offer accessible. Our aim is to impart knowledge about quality infrastructure and to improve the corresponding services in such a way that they are competitive, support the economy and promote trade. Ghana has experienced increasing growth, yet a third of the population lives in poverty, especially in rural areas. Agriculture suffers from low productivity and losses in the value chain. The present project, which is part of the Market Oriented Agriculture Programme (MOAP), aims to improve the quality of agricultural products by setting up testing and measuring laboratories, supporting accreditation and consolidating the quality infrastructure.

Developing African countries have so far made little use of the advantages of globalization, which is reflected in low exports and intra-African trade. Conformity testing for commercial goods is necessary to meet standards and regulations. The project strengthens pan-African integration by supporting quality infrastructure (QI) through advising, institutional funding and technical assistance.

The project supports the strengthening of quality infrastructure (QI) in the East African Community. More specifically, it focuses on the creation of legal framework conditions, on capacity development for the EAC Secretariat and its Technical Committees as well as the establishment of an internationally recognized accreditation system and the supply of equipment to national standards bureaus (NSBs).

The project aims to strengthen the Philippine quality infrastructure system according to international standards, especially in the areas of metrology and accreditation. It includes the creation of a needs-based quality infrastructure and the introduction of a national quality policy involving South-South cooperation with the Thai Metrology Institute.
