The demand for competent and experience-based advice in the field of quality infrastructure has increased continuously in recent years. PTB International Cooperation has developed numerous formats that address very different target groups. We are pleased to make this offer accessible. Our aim is to impart knowledge about quality infrastructure and to improve the corresponding services in such a way that they are competitive, support the economy and promote trade. The article summarizes the problem of HIV infections in South Africa due to defective condoms. In order to assure the product's quality, certification and accreditation by an internationally recognized institution are required. The application of these Quality Infrastructure components is crucial to an efficient control system, which is responsible for producing condoms of optimal quality.
The document presents the problem of a defective control system for the construction of buildings in New Zealand. The problem was solved by passing a new law in 2004 that seeks to improve the monitoring in the building design and construction. The new law established the basic criteria for quality assurance in order to provide clarity and guidance on compliance with building standards.
