The paper was prepared within the scope of the project “Strengthening Quality Infrastructure for the Energy Sector†which focuses on supporting the development of quality assurance services for the photovoltaic sector. The document provides an overview of Quality Infrastructure requirements and the current situation of the Quality Infrastructure for the photovoltaic sector in Indonesia. Based on previous analyses, it aims to assist policymakers by presenting recommendations on priorities for developing the national Quality Infrastructure required for the sector.

The guide seeks to provide small and medium-sized exporters with a comprehensive understanding of quality-related issues linked to the quality infrastructure. Amongst others, it includes questions and answers related to quality control, technical requirements (standards, technical regulations, sanitary and phytosanitary measures), management systems, conformity assessment (testing, inspection, certification), metrology, accreditation, the WTO Agreements on Technical Barriers to Trade and the Application of Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures. The guide was developed by International Trade Centre (ITC) and PTB.
